Orvane Group (“Orvane Group”, “us” or “we”) understands that your privacy is important to you and is committed to being transparent about the technologies it uses. This Cookie Policy explains how and why cookies, web beacons, pixels and similar technologies (together, “Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies”) may be stored on and accessed from your device when you use or visit orvane-group.com (the “Site”). This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Notice and our Terms & Conditions.
What are Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?
A cookie is a small text file that can be stored on and accessed from your device when you visit the Site, to the extent you agree. Other tracking technologies work in a similar way, placing small data files on your device or monitoring your website activity so that we can collect information about how you use the Site. This allows the Site to recognise your device from those of other users. The information below about cookies also applies to these other tracking technologies. You can find more information at www.allaboutcookies.org.
How does the Site use Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies?
Orvane Group uses Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies to keep the Site secure and working, to remember your choices, such as your cookie preferences, and to process requests you make of us, such as a message sent through our contact form.
With your consent, we may also use service providers to measure and analyse statistical usage and volume information from Site visitors. These providers use persistent cookies to help us improve the Site, manage its content and understand how visitors navigate and use it.
First and Third Party Cookies
“First party Cookies” are cookies that belong to Orvane Group and that we place on your device. “Third party Cookies” are cookies that another party places on your device through the Site. For example, our website security provider, Cloudflare, places cookies that help protect the Site from automated attacks. To help measure the effectiveness of our monthly letter, our newsletter provider may place Cookies or Other Tracking Technologies, as described below.
For more information on how these companies collect and use information on our behalf, please refer to their own privacy policies.
Depending on the part of the Site, we use the following types of cookies:
Persistent Cookies. We use persistent cookies to improve your experience of the Site. This includes recording your cookie choices, so that the cookie message does not appear on every visit.
Session Cookies. Session cookies are temporary and are deleted from your device when your web browser closes. We use session cookies to keep the Site secure and to make sure forms work while you use them.
You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of the Site.
The data collected by the Site and through cookies placed on your device will not be kept for longer than is necessary to fulfil the purposes mentioned above, and in any event for no longer than one year.
Our cookies are used for the following purposes
| Cookie type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary / technical | These cookies are necessary for us to operate the Site so that you can access it as you have requested. They protect the Site against automated attacks (for example Cloudflare’s security cookies), remember your cookie choices, and let site administrators sign in to manage the Site. |
| Analytical / performance | These cookies are used by us or our service providers to analyse how the Site is used and how it is performing, for example which pages are visited most often and where visitors come from. We only set them with your consent. [PROVIDER, if analytics is added] |
| Functionality | These cookies let us operate the Site in line with the choices you make, for example remembering your cookie preferences between visits. |
| Third party advertising | Orvane Group places none of these cookies on the Site. If this changes, we will ask for your consent first and name the providers in this table. |
How do I refuse or withdraw my consent to the use of Cookies?
If you do not want cookies to be placed on your device, you can adjust your browser settings to reject all or some cookies and to alert you when a cookie is placed on your device. For further information about how to do so, please refer to your browser’s “help”, “tools” or “edit” section, or see www.allaboutcookies.org. Please note that if you use your browser settings to block all cookies, including strictly necessary cookies, you may not be able to access or use all or parts of the Site, including the contact form.
If you want to remove previously stored cookies, you can delete them manually at any time. However, this will not prevent the Site from placing further cookies on your device unless you adjust your browser settings as described above.
Where we use cookies that need your consent, you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link at the foot of each page.
How do we use Other Tracking Technologies in our communications?
Orvane Group may collect information about whether you open or click any links in the monthly letter and other communications we send you, through web beacons.
A web beacon is a small graphic image placed in a website or an email that, alone or together with cookies, gathers information about your use of, or interaction with, a website or email. For example, we may add web beacons to our monthly letter to see whether you have opened it or clicked a link. The analysis helps us improve the content and format of our website and email communications.
How do I refuse or withdraw my consent to the use of Web Beacons?
You may avoid web beacons by configuring your email program to disable the loading of remote images and by not clicking on links in our email messages. You can also unsubscribe from the monthly letter at any time using the link in each issue.
